Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Sensory Bin

We have lots of kids at Leaps and Bounds that are working on recognizing letters and we LOVE Chicka Chicka Boom Boom so we thought it would make a great sensory bin!

Ingredients:

Plastic bin
Sand
Magnetic letters
2 metal cans
Electrical tape (colored)
Green tissue paper or construction paper for the tree leaves

To make the tree, hot glue 2 cans together. (We used cans of beans and left them filled so that there was additional weight to make the tree more stable, as well as magnetic.)
Wrap electrical tape (we used yellow) around the cans to give it color and to make the tree hold together better.
Tape green tissue paper or construction paper to the top of the tree for the leaves.
Fill bin with sand, magnetic letters and the Chicka Chicka Boom Boom book.
Have the kids search for letters and put them on the tree while reading the book.
